Spanish Moss forest

Spanish moss…it fills me with a sense of nostalgia, wonder, and melancholy. Growing up in the Southern United States, I spent much of my time climbing live oak trees filled with these odd, draping curtains which I was always cautioned not to touch because of “red bugs”. Caution did nothing to stop the continued climbing of these moss draped trees, because there is nothing quite as wonderful as sitting in the crook of an old oak tree and dreaming, reading, and telling secrets with friends.

Spanish Moss Forest is a love letter to a slower lifestyle. It is trips to Savannah, New Orleans, and Saint Simons. It is sitting in oak trees listening to the wake lapping at the bay edge. It is a reminder to seek beauty around us, to remember our youth, and to take time to just be.

Spanish Moss Forest is a mural wallpaper. With the potential to top 12 foot ceilings, this mural paper was hand-painted with watercolor to create up to 84 feet of continuously changing Spanish moss filled forest.
